How to query data using Dune?

Dune is a powerful blockchain data querying and visualization platform that allows users to query and analyze data from multiple blockchain networks.
Here are the basic steps to query data using Dune:
  1. Access the Dune Platform:
  • First, visit the official website of Dune: https://dune.com/
  1. Create an Account:
  • If you are a new user, you will need to create a Dune account. If you already have an account, simply log in.
  1. Browse Available Datasets:
  • Dune provides a variety of available datasets covering data from multiple blockchain networks. You can browse these datasets to find the data you are interested in.
  1. Select a Dataset:
  • Choose a dataset and navigate to the page for that dataset. On this page, you can view the dataset’s description, author information, and available queries.
  1. Create a Query:
  • On the dataset page, you can use SQL query language to create your own queries. Dune provides a query editor that allows you to write and test SQL queries.
  1. Run the Query:
  • After writing the query, click the “Run Query” button to execute the query. You will see the query results and related data visualizations.
  1. Create Visual Charts:
  • On the query results page, you can use Dune’s visualization tools to create charts and graphs to better understand the data. You can choose different chart types, fields, and data aggregation methods.
  1. Save and Share the Query:
  • If you are satisfied with the query and visualization results, you can choose to save the query and share it with others. Dune allows users to save their queries and generate a unique link for others to view.
Dune provides a wide range of datasets and query tools for exploring different data on the blockchain, including transactions, smart contracts, token liquidity, and more. Depending on your needs, you can write complex queries to gain specific data insights.
